| Jenny MacLeod Retirement Village is ideally located within walking distance of the Stockland Jesmond shopping complex and Jesmond Park, which provides walking trails and picnic areas in a peaceful nature reserve. |

Within a five kilometre radius of JMRV are a host of recreational, medical and public transport facilities including: the 231 (Newcastle City/Tyrrell Street Wallsend) Newcastle Buses bus stop (just 20 metres from our entrance); Hunter Valley Private Hospital; Stockland Jesmond Shopping centre; Heaton-Birmingham Gardens Bowling Club; Shortland Wetlands Centre; Shortland Waters Golf Club (an excellent 18 hole course); The University of Newcastle’s Forum Sports & Aquatic Centre; and Broadmeadow and Sandgate railway stations.
To assist residents to remain in convenient, familiar surroundings as their care needs progress we have obtained approval to construct a purpose built, government funded and licensed aged-care facility offering both low and high care services.
Opening onto the scenic Brickworks Park, just 400 metres down Victory Parade from JMRV, will be a 102 bed, aged-care facility to provide care for residents who may eventually require it. Not just low-care either, but high-care, so that our village community will have on its doorstep a facility second to none and located with views across the park and secure access directly to and from the park.
